kyo no oto is a series of writing inks that reproduce the traditional Japanese colours used since the Heian era with modern techniques and interpretations. Each colour features a unique name and story.
It is a special ink that makes use of the gradation of shads that utilizes the bleeding that is characteristic of dyes.
Dye ink is soluble in water, so you can use it for various expressions such as "blurring" with a pen after writing with ink or stretching the colour lightly.
"imayouiro" is a safflower red colour that had been getting attention in Heian era which means what Japanese ancestors called "modern colour".
